Why sell home insurance?

Offering general insurance products to your clients complements the advice you give on their mortgage and protection needs. It allows you to guide your clients on cover that they will need to buy and ensure they have appropriate cover in place.

Home insurance is now offered from many places; online comparison sites, banks, supermarkets and even department stores. They will not know your client in the same way as you will or understand their full requirements for cover but they will be keen to get to know them; and they will contact your clients to offer them different products including financial services.

By helping your client to source and give them advice on their home insurance, you are ensuring that they have the right cover in place and at the same time, preventing another financial services business starting a relationship with them.

Protecting the things that matter most to you and your clients

As with the choice of mortgage and protection products, you need to be sure that your providers give a quality of service and products you and your clients expect to meet your clients’ needs.  We only offer our home insurance products through advisers and are committed to offering you support in this area. Our dedicated account management team provide telephone and online support to help you pre and post-sale.

The support we offer extends to the provision of information and training in General Insurance. Under the Adviser support services section, our GI knowledge bank offers online training materials to help you and your team use our Adviser quoting system, (Quoforma+) and better understand our products and insurers.
