Axa Extra update

Summary

  • The Axa Extra product has been withdrawn from the Assurant household panel
  • This is an Axa decision based on distribution strategy rather than Assurant panel performance. 
  • New business cannot be put on cover or quoted via the Quoforma+ quoting system from 19 September 2024
  • Clients with existing Axa Extra policies remain on cover until policy is due to renew
  • We will look to offer alternative cover through other providers on panel as the policy naturally reaches its renewal date


Axa Extra

We have been informed by Axa that the Extra household product will no longer be acceptable for new business start dates from the 19th September 2024.

It is also from this date that the product will no longer show on the Quoforma+ quoting system.

There will be a pop-up warning message on the Quoforma+ quoting system to advise and remind you of this should you look to save or submit an Axa Extra policy.

Any saved Axa Extra prospect quotes in the system that you want to proceed to policy will be accepted BUT the risk data must remain unchanged. 

Any amendment to the quote or backward step in the quote journey may affect the premium or create a decline and you will not be able to proceed.

We will also be unable to recall the original saved quote.  

Clients with existing Axa Extra policies remain on cover until policy is due to renew and at point of renewal, we will look to offer alternative cover through other providers on panel.
