System update regarding annual payment by credit or debit card

From the 14th March 2022, the new European Payment Services Directive (PDS2) became mandatory in the UK.

Part of this regulation requires stronger customer authentication and as led to some erratic system issues when trying to process payment for customers who choose to pay the policy premium by credit or debit card through Quoforma+.

For this reason, we have currently disabled the option to pay by credit card via submission through Quoforma+.

If credit card payment is selected, it will now bring up a warning message (below):

Due to recent regulation changes for online card payments, our ‘Annual Card Payment Portal’ is temporarily unavailable. We have an alternative annual payment option which incurs no interest or fees, where your client can pay by ‘Annual Direct Debit’ through this website.

If they would rather pay by card, please call the office on 03332 000 444 where we can take an annual card payment through our contact centre team.

We are working on a fix for this with high priority.

You will also see some changes to the quote journey in Quoforma and in preparation of when the credit card payment option is available again.
